About us
Open Door Democracy is a NGO dedicated to promoting transparency in governance as a key component of the democratic process.The basis of our democracy is that the public's beliefs of how the country should be run are expressed via their votes. The more a candidate resembles the views of the public, the more votes they receive. However, without accurate information on a candidate's past record, the public is less able to choose a suitable candidate, and thus democracy is inhibited.
We work to ensure transparency permeates through all facets of government, from accounts to policymaking, campaign funding to MPs expenses.
